As a first time season ticket holder for the Golden State Warriors in 2013, I attended every home game. Yes, all 41 games. I loved every minute of action. I loved walking into Oracle Arena with my season tickets with pride.

In the offseason, I decided to upgrade my seats to the lower section. I realized two things, I’m not going to be able to attend all 41 games, and the price of my seats had increased significantly.

The solution to this issue was to split tickets with a friend. Then, sell my half of tickets to friends, coworkers, and post my tickets to secondary resale sites.

This allowed me to attend the games I wanted to and sell unused games to recoup costs. The problem was that this was a very manual process.

I was sitting with Djimbaye and dividing the games based on cost, work/life schedule, and fighting over the marquee games at the beginning of each season.

Then I’d have to post the tickets to many secondary resale sites and take them down quickly to avoid a double sale. Lastly, I spent time responding to texts and emails from friends, coworkers, and previous buyers about what games I had left.

The idea of Ticketholdr began. A platform where you could manage, share, and resell tickets.

We knew this was a need after speaking with countless season ticket holders from across the NBA, NFL, MLB, NHL, and MLS.

We’re excited about shaping the sporting future. Not only solving the aforementioned problems but the issues in the ticketing landscape overall. Thank you for coming along for the ride.
