Los Angeles Chargers Season Tickets

The Los Angeles Chargers issued a statement on Wednesday in regard to single game tickets and season ticket holders for the 2020 season.

In short, fans who purchased single game tickets for the 2020 season will be refunded within 3-7 business days. Due to the increased cases of COVID-19, all teams in California cannot safely allow fans into the stadium currently. As the virus’ affects change daily, stadium occupancy and other logistics will prove to be difficult.

Will Los Angeles Chargers Season Tickets be refunded?

Yes, Chargers Season Ticket holders can be refunded for the 2020 season or have their funds rolled over to the 2021 season. This program has been called the “Charge Forward”. Those Season Ticket holders will also receive priority on single ticket games when they become available. This is a tactic many teams in the NFL are adopting due to the pandemic.

“Season Ticket Members will have priority to select from any available inventory,” the team wrote. “Our goal will be to accommodate as many people as possible within the health and safety guidelines outlined by SoFi Stadium, the CDC, and local health and government officials. Currently there have been no final decisions made affecting the seating map for a reduced capacity scenario, and we will be in communication with our Members as those decisions have been made.”

The Los Angeles Rams, who share the SoFi stadium with the Chargers, issued a COVID-19 guideline if attendance is allowed. As of right now, based off the state and CDC guidelines, maximum occupancy will be 15,000 people and everyone must wear masks unless eating or drinking. Game-day logistics and tailgating procedures are subject to change and have not been thoroughly ironed out. The team is also figuring out how to monitor those who don’t adhere to the mask protocol while inside the stadium.
