If you’re an Atlanta Falcons season ticket holder, expect your tickets to go up as much as 5%.
While no one is excited about the increase of cost, the Falcons have done a great job of adding exceptional benefits to PSL owners.
Atlanta Falcons season ticket holders who have tickets in the club level will have access to free tickets for road games, which is unheard of. This is the most expensive section in the stadium and contains about 6,600 seats in that area.
Furthermore, there is a newly minted ticket exchange program. The program allows for seat license owners to swap their tickets in exchange for additional tickets to another game. A ticket sell back initiative that can be used to receive credit towards next season’s tickets has been implemented.
The VP of Sales and Service, Don Rovak, hopes these initiatives keep tickets of the secondary market.
The aim is to decrease the supply to the secondary market to drive up demand, which in turn helps season ticket holders feel value. The Falcons tickets sold below face value on the secondary market prior to the pandemic.
“These programs are designed for both the short-term benefit to keep the season-ticket member happy and the long-term benefit of the price integrity” said Rovak.
The team is hoping this investment can create happier season ticket holders and maintain a higher renewal rate. Free team swag such as jackets, pullovers, hats or polo shirts will be available for PSL holders. The estimated cost for this investment is well into the seven figures.
“The more we can be in tune with our fans to align our offering to them, then the better chances are that they’re satisfied and that we keep more customers,” said Chief Revenue Officer, Tim Zulawski.
