season ticket holders

Recent reports from Sports Business Daily and Sports Business  state the National Football League (NFL) and Major League Baseball (MLB) have had their worst attendance records in 15 and 16 years respectively. Season Ticket ownership seems to be dropping along side that.

Many factors could contribute to this downturn. But there is one that seems to be a constant, the cost associated with attending a game. A study by the Los Angeles Times claims a $100 is not enough for a family of four to attend a professional sporting game.

The sporting industry as a whole may be pricing out die-hard fans without a viable solution. The effects of displaced fans may not yet be seen but the ramifications for the future could effect how teams deliver their experiences.
What we’re building at Ticketholdr aims to alleviate the financial burden to ensure Season Ticket holders can enjoy sporting events at a more affordable clip.

As the gig economy has increased, thanks to companies like Uber, DoorDash, and TaskRabbit, we can infer this will transcend to more industries. The sporting industry already being one. A handful of MLB teams are getting creative in ticket packages to increase attendance but nothing has seemed to stick yet.
